How to use: add 3/4 cup (75g) of course or 1/2 cup (100g) fine ground coffee (course ground preferred) into the bag. If possible leave a little space of the top of the mesh bags to allow the coffee grinds to expand. For a greater outcome, buy whole bean coffee and grind it yourself just before brewing. This way you can adjust the grind type or texture.

Tie it off and drop it into a mason jar (32oz)Â with preferably spring or filtered water and 12 - 15 hours later you have a delicious cold brew coffee. Many times the type or pureness of the water makes a difference in the taster of your coffee, but tap water will work as well. Steeping it more than 18 hours could cause bitter flavors. Because cold water extracts slower than hot water, youâll need that time to get flavor into your brew.
Your homemade cold brew is ready! With our recipe, the coffee you brewed will be strong enough that ice, milk, or dairy substitute wonât dilute the taste too much. If the concentrate feels like itâs too strong, add water to taste. Because our cold brew is brewed as a concentrate, it can be used, like those in a cocktail or mocktail recipe, as well.
If youâre not planning to drink it right away, keep any leftover concentrate you brewed in your refrigerator for up to a week.
