Lapsang souchong, sometimes referred to as smoked tea. This black tea originated from the mountainous Wuyi region in the Chinese province of Fujian. Lapsang-Souchong has grown in popularity with those who appreciate single malt Scotch whiskey and fine cigars. Once steeped, this gourmet tea produces a bright, burgundy-orange cup with a bold flavor.
Steeping Suggestions: 1½ tsp. tea of tea and add 8 oz. boiling (212°) water, then steep for 2 ½ - 3 minutes.
Tea Latte Recipe (1 serving) 3 tsp. tea, 1 cup water, ½ cup steamed milk, ½ tsp. sugar or condensed milk. Steep tea in water and add to steamed milk.
